Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKERRY VANDENHEEDE
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kerry Louis Vandenheede on May 15, 2024 on Vancouver Island. Kerry had moved from Winnipeg, MB to Nanaimo, BC several years ago to enjoy life on the coast. Preceded in death by his parents, Susanna and Louis Vandenheede.
Kerry will be remembered for his witty sense of humour, intelligence, generosity and appreciation for a nice glass of wine by his family and friends, neighbours and the community. He enjoyed reading, hiking, cooking and traveling; and during his time in BC, Kerry was involved with the Nanaimo Art Gallery and was previously an acting member of the Nanaimo Probus Club.
In keeping with Kerry's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family Celebration of Life will occur in Victoria, BC. There will be no service.

Hey Kerry just found out about your passing. Quite shocked to hear that. Flood of memory’s came back to me instantly from when we were kids. Remember when you would come out to the farm in Balmoral for summer holidays and all the adventure’s we would have there. Then I would go to your house for a while or up to Belair to the cool cottage that your mom and dad built. Lots of fun times up there. Beautiful place! Say hi to auntie Susie and uncle Louie for me. So sad to hear you’re gone so soon. P.S Your dad was the best uncle a guy could ask for. Still miss him. - Posted by: Rick Bean (Cousin) on: May 09, 2025

I'm very sorry to hear of Kerry's passing. Tried contacting him after Auntie Sue passed but he seemed to have disappeared. Kerry was much younger then me but I still remember their family coming out to visit us on the farm on Rosser Road. I don't remember Kerry being a country boy, it didn't seem to be his lifestyle, however I loved to visit them when Uncle Louie and Auntie Sue had us over for Sunday dinners. Kerry had toys we would never see!! Anyway, rest in peace cousin, I hope you didn't have any suffering before you left us. - Posted by: Donald Bean (Cousin) on: Apr 24, 2025

Kerry, I'm so sad to hear of your passing. You were so young what happened. You’re the only cousin I can remember being close with when we were kids. I’m very sorry we missed your celebration but we just found out. RIP cousin and thank you for making me realize how lucky I am to still be here. Hope you’re with Lois and Susie. God be with you. - Posted by: Michael Meyers (Cousin) on: Mar 23, 2025
