KENNETH ERIC SUCHE

1950 - 2024

Ken Suche, born on August 7, 1950, in Winnipeg, passed away suddenly on April 27, 2024, at Lake of The Woods District Hospital in Kenora, Ontario. He was 73 years old.

Ken was predeceased by his beloved wife Carole, his parents, Grant and Lilian, and his sister Linda. He leaves to mourn his sons, Ryan (36) and Kent (33); his sister Debbie and his brothers, Randy and Doug. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families.

Ken was a very special man, with very special friends. Ken worked in his sales most of his adult career and spent most of his life to be a true entrepreneur. He loved the art of a deal and was always working his angle. His keen eye for deals and his business acumen were admired by many. Ken had a deep love for the great outdoors and spent countless hours traversing the back roads of the Interlake area, visiting family and friends along the way. He cherished every fall hunting season, especially the annual family hunt in the Melita area, which was a highlight of his year. Winters saw Ken heading south to McAllen, Texas, where he enjoyed road trips and the warmer weather. However, his favourite place of all was his cabin on Lake of The Woods. This is where Ken found peace and contentment, surrounded by nature and the beauty of the lake. A significant highlight of Ken's life was a private meeting with Prince Charles at Beny-sur Mer Cemetery in France in 2004, a moment made even more meaningful because of his father Grant's service as a Royal Winnipeg Rifle, Second World War Veteran. Ken's sudden passing has left a void in all hearts of all who knew him. His entrepreneurial spirit, love for adventure, deep connection to family and friends will be remembered and cherished by all forever.

A celebration of Ken's life will be held at the St. James Royal Canadian Legion #4, 1755 Portage Avenue on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. Family and friends will gather to honour his memory and share stories of his remarkable life. In lieu of flowers, if you choose, donations may be made to the Argyle Cemetery Fund, Brant Argyle Cemetery Board, Box 204, Argyle, MB R0C 0B0.
