Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCAROLE KURDYDYK
Carole, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and cherished friend, passed away suddenly on June 20, 2024, during her courageous battle with cancer. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Paul Longtin, and her loving children, Robert and Kristen.
Carole's vibrant spirit and kind heart touched the lives of many. Her love for the arts was evident in her frequent attendance at the theater and symphony, where she found immense joy and inspiration. An ardent supporter of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Carole's enthusiasm for football was infectious and brought her family together for many memorable games. Her talents extended to the kitchen, where she delighted friends and family with her baking, creating treats that were as delightful as her company.
Professionally Carole was an accomplished educator. Beginning her career in St. Claude, she inspired high school students before transitioning to adult education in Winnipeg. In retirement, she kept busy instructing computer workshops for the Winnipeg Library System and serving as part-time receptionist at Lawton Partners.
Carole's generosity and selflessness were further reflected in her dedication to volunteer work. She passionately contributed her time to the Winnipeg Fringe Festival, St. John's Presbyterian Church, and the St. John's High School Alumni Association, enriching her community with her unwavering support. Carole's legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will forever be remembered by all who were fortunate to know her.
Her family invites all who knew her to celebrate her life and cherish the beautiful memories she leaves behind. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on July 6 at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, 256 Bannerman Ave.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra or a charity of your choice in honour of Carole's enduring spirit and commitment to her community.
Her warmth, laughter, and love will remain in our hearts forever.

I'm so sorry to learn of Carol's passing. She was a lovely woman. Super friendly and giving. Her dad was a youth hockey coach who coached my uncle. She took the trouble to find some old newspaper clippings about the team and share them with me. I can't thank her enough. She'll be greatly missed by the St. John's High School alumni. - Posted by: Reid Linney (Friend) on: Jul 07, 2024

My memory was of Carole as our typing teacher during her time in Niverville in the early 80’s. She was short but boy could she move fast down the hallway. Her high heels clicking as she moved. - Posted by: Doug (Student) on: Jun 30, 2024

I will always treasure my brief time with Carole visiting with in her home as her home care support worker. We hit it off very quickly and her warmth and friendly spirit made it easy for us to become fast friends. She had a strong determination to keep up her strength and be independent! I will never forget her bright eyes and sparkling smile. - Posted by: Susan Loeppky (Support worker) on: Jun 29, 2024
