It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Elisa Figueroa on July 23, 2024 at the age of 75. She was born June 14, 1949 and is survived by her son, Ronald James, her daughter, Adriene Marie, and her sister, Teresita.
She was predeceased by her husband, Cesar, her mother, Angelica and her father, Leoncio.
Elisa was born in Malolos, Bulacan, Philippines. She achieved her degree in education and library sciences and worked for a time at Delta Motors as a receptionist and administrator.
She and Cesar emigrated to Canada in 1974 where they settled in the North End of Winnipeg where the family home remains. She worked as a teachers aid at William Whyte and at King Edward Elementary before she began a career as a technician at Boeing Canada.
A special thank you to the Transplant Team at Health Sciences who showed her special care and attention to the end. Another special thank you to our friends and family all over the world who made special effort to call, text, and visit over the past few years.
A private cremation and interment will take place in the coming weeks. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association.

To the family, so sorry for your loss. I worked with your Mom many years ago in the 70's/80's in the Layup Dept at Boeing. She was just like in her picture, always smiling, happy, very nice lady to talk to! Memories live on!
