CHERYL LYNN TURNBULL

Cheryl passed on July 25, 2024 at St. Boniface Hospital after a short fight with cancer. She was the loving wife to her husband Gordon and caring mother to her three sons, Matthew [Erin], Ken [Jennell] and William. She leaves behind her greatest joy her two grandchildren Jerriah and Kalliope. Her sisters Nancy [Terry] and Evelyn also mourn her loss as do many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Cheryl was born to Kenneth and Elsie Domaas in Fort William Ontario on October 24, 1958. They later moved to Winnipeg in 1967 where she attended various schools in West Kildonan and North End of Winnipeg. She graduated from the University of Manitoba with a degree in Home Economics in 1980. She worked in the retail sector in bridal shops and later at Fabricland.

Her passion was sewing and had a considerable collection of fabric along with antique sewing machines. She was most happy making gifts for loved ones and her grandchildren. She enjoyed camping and we used a small RV which took us on some amazing adventures. She lived in the country on a small acreage with a creek which brought her great contentment.

There will be a Celebration of Life at her sister's home on August 1 starting at 1:00 p.m. It will take place in West St Paul and please contact us at gordonrturnbull@gmail for instructions.

Any donations can be made to the cancer charity of your choice.
