It is with sadness that our family announces the unexpected passing of our beloved husband, Dad, Grunty, G-pa, Papa and Grandpa Chris Smook on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at Setting Lake, MB at the age of 66 years.
A celebration of Chris’ life will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Thompson Regional Community Centre, 274 Thompson Drive, Thompson, MB.
Should friends so desire, please consider remembering Chris with a donation to Diabetes Canada or to your local animal shelter.

Chris was our next door neighbour as we were growing up! He was a couple years older than myself so I didn’t know him well - but he was always very kind. Last trip to Thompson, he recognized each of us sisters even though he hadn’t seen us for years. We shared some memories and he showed us around his place at Setting Lake. He was just down the road from where our family cabin had been.
