BRYAN OROBKO

After a life well lived, Bryan Orobko passed away August, 9, 2024 at the age of 82.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife of 54 years, Donna (nee Smith); daughters, Karen (Chris) and Brenda (Steve); grandchildren, Stanley and Kimberly; sister Beverly (Ron); brother-in-law Jack; sister-in-law Faith; many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Bryan was born in Winnipeg on May 17, 1942 to Helen (nee Mayer) and Walter Orobko. He grew up on Owena Street and Mulvey Avenue attending Kelvin High School.

At the age of 19, he started working for the City of Winnipeg where he retired from the Finance Department in 1994. Retirement brought trips to Minneapolis to visit Karen and Chris, playing with his grandchildren, helping Brenda and Steve build their house, gathering to play cards with friends, cheering on the Jets and supporting Tim Horton's.

Bryan's desire and ability to connect with anyone in a meaningful way defined his character throughout his life.

Bryan's family sincerely thank the staff of River East Personal Care Home for their care and dedication.

A Celebration of Life in honour of Bryan will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Glen Eden Funeral Home and Cemetery 4477 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bryan's memory may be made to Operation Smile Canada or Union Gospel Mission.
