PETER DOUGLAS PEARSON

September 25, 1960 - August 30, 2024

Peter passed away peacefully, surrounded by love.

He was predeceased by loving parents, Doug and Marilynne Pearson and younger brother Bobby. He leaves behind his wife Joanne and super hero, his son Brent. Mourning also is his favourite sister Lynne Pearson (Aime Girardin) and brother Greg.

Peter lived life to the fullest. Family was always number one to him. His passions were hockey and golf. He loved to travel to Arizona in the winters, but his favourite place was his own piece of paradise - his own back yard.

Peter was a dedicated, long-time AA member. He was excited to pass on the message and helped so many. He is thankful, from the bottom of his heart, for all the crazy 8’s!

Let’s get this party started! Peter’s Celebration of Life will be at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., on Monday, September 9, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. There will be a livestream available through a link on Thomson “In the Park” website. There will be an open mic and we would love to hear any stories, or laughs you would like to share about your time with Peter.

Flowers are graciously declined.

The family are so very grateful to the palliative care program that supported us in Peter’s journey. Sean - his nurse, Dr. Ted and Dr. Tim were so instrumental in his care. We cannot thank you enough!

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Lynne and Aime, I was sorry to hear of Pete's passing. He stopped in to visit my Mom a few summers ago before she passed away last year and she was pleasantly surprised he took the time to see her. She just had a new kitchen installed and he asked her all about it. Anyway please accept my Condolences on his passing. I also made a donation to Cancer Society in memory of him. Take care. - Posted by: Cheryl Grewar (Friend) on: Sep 07, 2024
