BOZO BLAZANOVIC
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Bozo Blazanovic.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Katarina (Gotic), son Ninoslav, son Tihomir and daughter-in-law Jaclyn (Berra), and granddaughter Amelia. Our family and friends from all over the world also grieve his passing.
Dad was born in the town of Gorjani, Croatia. He worked at the state Radio and Television industry as the head of accounting in Zagreb, Croatia. He came to Canada with his wife Katarina and son Ninoslav on August 30, 1970. His last position was with the Manitoba Liquor Control Commission here in Winnipeg before his retirement.
Dad was a kindhearted and humanitarian oriented person. He loved the outdoors, picking mushrooms and blueberries. He also enjoyed poetry, travelling to Croatia, Cuba and Mexico, the medicinal properties of garlic, and watching documentaries, magicians, and shows about the supernatural.
We will all miss him immeasurably.
Rest in peace Dad.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to CancerCare Manitoba, Doctors Without Borders, or a charity of your choice.
A service will be held on Saturday September 14, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Nicholas Tavelich Church, 2688 Main St., with interment to follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main Street, RM of West St. Paul.

I have known barba Božo since I was a child. I remember spending days at their house playing with Nino and later on, Tihomir. Our families are deeply connected and I am at great sorrow to hear of his passing. The thing I will remember the most is his laughter and smile (can still hear it). May he rest in peace.
