Sajida “Jida” Ali-Samuels passed away peacefully on September 14, 2024, at West Park Manor Personal Care Home in Winnipeg, Canada.
Jida was born in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, on November 1, 1939. She is greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, family, and friends worldwide. Following her wishes, she will be buried in MacGregor, Manitoba, without a funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
The family would like to thank Rosemarie Munroe and the staff at West Park Manor Personal Care Home for their support during Jida’s final days, and especially the friends and family who took time out of their hectic schedules to call, email, visit, and lime.
Sajida was in her element whenever she was around people laughing and talking and dancing and enjoying themselves.
Walk good, Mum.

I have enjoyed the opportunity of Jida's friendship and caring since the 1980s. Our kids were friends and we worked for BMO together. Jida was witty, loving and caring. She loved her kids, her friends and life in general. Jida will be greatly missed. Love and hugs to the family from my family and myself.
