Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHOMAS ALEXANDER SCOTT
Thomas Alexander Scott passed away peacefully the morning of September 9, 2024. Predeceased by his daughter, Lynn, in 2020 and his wife, Elaine, in 2022, left to mourn are his children Glen (Margarete), Joanne (Mark) and Karen (Brett), grandchildren Leigh, Derek (Alex), Lauren, Cameron, Kaitlyn and Robert, and great-grandsons Jackson and Logan.
Tom was born in Roblin, Manitoba December 10, 1931, and moved to Winnipeg in 1955.
After raising the family in Windsor Park, a move to Charleswood would see Tom pursue his enjoyment of gardening. An avid member of the Charleswood Horticultural Society; always willing to share his first prize ribbons for vegetables and his ‘gladiolus’. Tom was also active with the Charleswood Seniors, playing baseball and curling well into his late 70's. Tom will be remembered for his sense of humour, ability to tell a story and as a naturalist his ability to identify plants and birds including the elusive ‘Dickie bird’.
We are grateful for Dad’s gentle demeanour and quiet strength. We would like to extend our gratitude to the health care community at West Park Manor.
While there is no tragedy in the passing of an almost 93 year man who lived a healthy wonderful life, grief is unavoidable.
