A gentle giant, Lawrence Johannson, passed away on October 2, 2024, surrounded by four generations of family.
A Happy Hour for family and friends to send Lawrence on his journey will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Johnson Hall, Waterfront Centre, 94 1st Avenue, Gimli, Manitoba.

Lawrence was such a patient man of excellent character who people could rely on to help in practical matters. He was welcoming, kind and a true friend. I was glad to see him this summer with cousin Carole at the Icelandic Festial. They devoted their lives each other and their family. Please accept our sincere sympathy at the loss of your love and soulmate Carole, and to all your family. Lawrence was a master of many trades. Mom & Dad always spoke of him fondly and relied on him several times to help them with their Arborg home, knowing that whatever he did was always a job well done.
