It is with much sorrow Marilyn’s descendants announce her passing. It was a peaceful transition to the spirit world, with her daughter at her side on Saturday morning, October 5, 2024.
She will be remembered by her beloved children, Christopher, Geoffrey, and Birgitta; her daughters-in-law Maria and Nancy; her niece Shaunna, her nephew Frank, her other family and friends.
Marilyn was a dedicated legal secretary, forming lasting friendships among coworkers. She had a great love for music and taught piano. She felt much sympathy for those experiencing hardship and dreamed of a day all could live together as one. She also had a love for animals and wanted to see all strays cared for with love.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Main Street Project, or any no-kill animal shelter.
A believer in science and spirituality both, she donated her body to research, hoping it would be useful. A small private service will be held for close relatives.
The family would like to thank all helping to care for her with compassion in her last few years. May her journey forward be filled with light and love.
