We sadly announce the passing of our dear Dad and Papa, Kenneth Richard McLauchlan on Monday, December 23, 2024, while surrounded by family.
Ken was born, raised and educated in McCreary, Manitoba and worked for the City of Winnipeg (Water Works Department) for 28 years, retiring in 1992.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Kelly (Calvin), and granddaughter Lexee (Brody), along with some fabulous friends. Ken was predeceased by his loving spouse, F. Marina McDougall, parents, William and Margaret McLauchlan, sisters, Audrey McLauchlan (Shineton), Miretta Ewen, brother W.J. Claude McLauchlan, and favourite fur buddy Boo.
Ken loved to garden, dance to his favourite country music, and will be remembered for always finding things to tinker with while using his crazy imagination and talent to create the unimaginable.
Cremation has taken place and as per Ken’s wishes, there will be no formal service held.
The family wishes to express our sincere gratitude to the staff of Victoria Hospital, especially the doctors, nurses and health care aides who took such good care of him during his final days.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to his favourite charity, Darcy's Arc.
