Maurice passed away peacefully at the Boundary Trails Health Centre on January 3, 2025, at the age of 83.
Maurice was predeceased by his wife Elaine (2009), infant son Stephen Maurice, parents, Gordon and Ella, parents-in-law, Joe and Rae (Switzer) Tickner, siblings, Harold, Ruth Cook, Allan and Ross and sister-in-law Janie (Tickner) Anderson.
He is survived by his children, Laurie (Michael Crowe), Leanne (Jonathan Sloane), Philip (Catarina Camara), Kyle (Jennifer), grandchildren, Jenna, Tyler (Quin), Kaitlyn (Brady); Merrick; Julian, Marcus; Clayton (Lia), Kelby, Colter, Keaston, special friend Sheryle Lyne, in-laws Crystal Conrod Sprung, Dwight Cook, Linda Sprung, Spence Anderson, Daryl and Jacquie Tickner and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the St. Andrews United Church in Manitou on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. To view the livestream service, please visit www.wheatlandfs.com and register at the link.
A private family interment will be held at the Darlingford Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Maurice may be made to the Boundary Trails Health Centre Foundation Home - BTHC Foundation, Pembina Manitou Foundation Municipality of Pembina - Pembina - Manitou Area Foundation or a charity of your choice.
