Condolences & Memories (8 entries)

  • We are saddened to learn of Frank's passing. Anne was my teacher at Peguis #2 School (ca. 1959)and I recall Frank and Anne's young love. Us children were interested observants of the love looks exchanged between them when he dropped her off to begin the school day. He was a devoted and honourable friend to many Peguis people. Before landline phones were installed in Peguis, he facilitated my long distance calls from my sweetheart in the late 60s. Rest well Frank as you and Anne are gems. To Frank's family, your dad left a long loving legacy. - Posted by: Karen and Jim Wastasecoot (friend) on: Feb 07, 2025

  • Dear Phyllis, Gerry & Family, and Wayne: Our families known each other for many years, from curling bonspiels to us being flowers girls together. Many nights would be spent at either your mom and Dad's or Uncle Joe and Auntie Mrytle's with us running amok in the stores. I recently had a short visit with your Dad at Uncle Cubby's funeral. He looked well and happy when I sat down for a chat. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, as well as you Wayne. Treasures your memories of your dad, and grandfather. Keep them safe in your hearts. My thoughts and prayers are with you at such a sad time. Cathy Nevakshonoff-Benoit. - Posted by: Cathy Nevakshonoff-Benoit (Family friend) on: Jan 16, 2025

  • My sincere condolences to Frank’s family. I have known Frank since my childhood, he was always entertaining in his conversation and very kind. My parents Jack and Stephanie Shewell shared many fun times with Frank, they always spoke highly of him. While in Manitoba last summer I visited Frank in Hodgson and as always he was welcoming and enthusiastic to see me. I will remember him with respect and fondness. - Posted by: Jacqueline Nobles ( Shewell ) (Friend) on: Jan 15, 2025
