LLOYD JOHN MILLER
With broken hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Lloyd Miller. Lloyd passed away, after a challenging year’s battle with many health issues, on Jan 4, 2025, with his entire family by his side. LJ, as many lovingly called him, had a great zest for life. Family meant everything to him as was evident by the love he gave and received.
LJ will be dearly missed by his loving elementary school sweetheart/wife of 58 years, Dene, daughters, Daina (Dean) and Pam (Ed). He was a very proud “Pa” of Dominique, Taylor (Chelsea), Liam, Kyleigh and Zach and a loving great-grandfather to Peyton and River. He instilled family strength in all that he did, and it was rare that our family was not all together on most weekends. He took pride in having the greenest, most well-manicured lawn both at home and at the cottage. His passion for cottage life was only surpassed by love for family. LJ adored spending time with those he loved and seized every opportunity to create a cherished memory for all. LJ had a very outgoing personality, an infectious smile and laugh. He was always the life of the party. We are so proud of the legacy he left behind.
LJ was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Florence; in-laws, Harold & Hertha; brother, Garry; sister-in-law, Linda. Also left to mourn are siblings, Doug, Denise (Dave), Greg (Laura), sister-in-law, Judy, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
As per LJ’s wishes, a private celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society, as he had a big soft spot for furry friends.
Always on our minds, forever in our hearts. We will miss you.
