Kenneth Orval Hildebrand, born on September 27, 1944, in Snowflake, Manitoba, passed away unexpectedly on December 26, 2024, at the age of 80.
Ken is survived by his wife of over 55 years, Vicki; his children, Kris (Kristine), Erin (Chris), and Danielle (Jeff); and his grandchildren Josh, Arianna, Andrew, Timothy, Kara, Jacob, Ellie, Garrett and Jayedon. He is also survived by his brother Art (Judy), sister Emily (Ralph), and many nieces, nephews, friends and their families. He was predeceased by his parents, Adolph and Alvina, sisters, Edna (William), Ruth (Art) and Velma (Joe) as well as brother Albert (Gladys).
Ken grew up in Langruth, Manitoba, and found his career in aviation with Shell Canada, which took him across western Canada and beyond. Known for his ability to make friends easily, Ken always had a "guy" for everything.
A lifelong athlete and avid handyman, Ken enjoyed baseball, hockey, curling, golf, pickleball, DIY-ing and gardening. His warmth, generosity, and love for socializing and connecting with people will be deeply missed.
A Memorial Service will be held at Langruth Lutheran Church on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., followed by lunch at Langruth Community Hall.
