KEN SLATER
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Ken Slater.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he leaves to mourn his loving wife, Eleanor; his children, Shannon (David) and Blair (Lynn); his cherished grandchildren, Bradyn and Sydney; and many nieces and nephews.
Ken was born in Teulon Manitoba to Dorothy and Bill Slater.
He had a career as a rail traffic controller for CN Rail. He started out working in many small towns in Manitoba and Ontario before returning to Winnipeg where he met and married Eleanor and started a family.
Ken had a full life, filled with travel, volunteering, and fun times with family, especially enjoying his two grandchildren.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a service to celebrate Ken's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on February 3, 2025, at The United Church in Meadowood, 1111 Dakota Street.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ken's memory, may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
