Andy was my foster brother since he was 2 years old, but I consider him my brother. He quickly became one of the family. He was such a cute little guy with the challenge of being deaf. He had a happy interesting life that took him from Winnipeg to Fort Smith to Yellowknife and then Edmonton in between, where he attended the best schools for the deaf. Andy settled in Winnipeg where he worked for many years. He loved animals, especially cats and always had one around. Andy was especially kind to mom and dad before his illness, cutting their grass, doing minor repairs and lots of painting. He was a good painter and had a gift for repairing bicycles. Andy did not have children of his own but loved his niece, two nephews and great nieces to pieces. I will miss you Andy. Rest in peace. My condolences also to Rita and Carol. - Posted by: Susan Johnston (Foster Sister) on: Feb 21, 2025

Andy will be greatly missed. He was a kind person in my life and I will hold on to the fond memories I have of time spent with him. My mother (his sister) taught me to sign at an early age to strengthen our communication - a staple in our house continues to be signing I love you. My daughter's were lucky enough to spend time with Andy as well, and I will cherish those memories. - Posted by: Stephanie Humphries (Niece) on: Feb 01, 2025
