I had the pleasure of meeting John 25 years ago when I was first starting my career. He was so kind, welcoming and genuine. There wasn't a single time that I saw he and Bonnie at any of the events in town that he didn't have a smile and word of encouragement. I too was privileged to work with both John and Bonnie. Their warm, open and humble demeanour in the face of health challenges was admirable. He will truly be missed by all whose life he touched. I was fortunate to meet and work briefly with John (and Bonnie). It was a privilege and a delight. John was such an incredibly sincere, warm and perceptive man.
