Rose-Anne L’Heureux (née Côté) passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at age 97.
Born in Ste. Anne des Chênes, Manitoba on September 3, 1927, to Hervé and Clara (Michaud) Côté. She spent her early years in Ste. Anne and Giroux. She married Jules L'Heureux in 1949. They had their first three children, Louis, Edgar and Thérèse, while in Manitoba. The family moved to Maillardville, BC, in February 1956 where their last son Robert was born. She lived on her own for the last 25 years after Jules passed away in 1999. She suffered two strokes in 2016 but recovered enough to live on her own until November 2022 when she was placed in long term care at Fleetwood Place in Surrey.
Predeceased by her husband of 50 years Jules L’Heureux; her parents, Hervé and Clara (née Michaud) Côté; her siblings (and spouses), Antoinette (Raymond) Villebrun, Alida Laferriere, Rosaire (Lilliane) Côté, Aime Côté, Noella (Lucien) Emond, sister-in-law Shirley Côté, son-in-law Darrell Brooks. Survived by her children, Louis, Edgar (Elisabeth), Thérèse, Robert, nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, brother Paul Côté (Eileen Scott), sister-in-law Jeannine Côté, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Fleetwood Place for the care provided to our mother.
