ALVIN (AL) WIEBE
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Al Wiebe, on January 29, 2025.
Survived by his wife of 67 years, Suzanne, his daughters and sons-in-law, Michele and Jim, Alison and Dave, Cathy and Don, Caroline and Craig, ten grandchildren, seven great-grand-children; his brother Walter (Shelagh) and many relatives and friends. Al was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Elizabeth, his brothers, Peter and Jake, and sisters, Betty and Kay.
We were able to fulfill Al's wishes to pass away at home, thanks to the WRHA Palliative Care program and the support of their wonderful nurses. Al lived his illness as he lived his life - One Day at a Time.
Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Parish, 820 Cottonwood Road.
A photo-biography honouring Alvin's life is accessible through the "tributes" link below.

Dear Suzanne and family: Today I was thinking for some reason about Uncle Al. Living in Red Deer now with all the snow and cold weather brought back so many memories of Winnipeg when my mind came to rest on Uncle Al. I thought maybe I should call him and say hi but don't know your number. So I looked him up on google and was shocked to see his obituary. I am really sad. He was a fun uncle. Him and Uncle Jake. Wow! I am pretty sure he had a very happy life! Well I guess we will see him later. Again so sorry for your loss. Linda - Posted by: Linda Snow Canning (niece) on: Mar 29, 2025

Dear Aunt Sue, Michele, Alison, Cathy, Caroline and families. Our thoughts and condolences on the loss of your husband, father, grandpa. Have many found memories of Wiebe clan gatherings like Christmases and the last one being at Holly’s. My dad would often talk about the fun/frustrating golf games he would have with his brothers. “Aunty Susan, I am sorry to hear of Al’s passing. When I read this it brought back lots of good memories growing up on Valour Rd. Playing with the girls but especially Michele. May the memories you have of Al give you comfort at this time. - Posted by: Gloria Dutchuk (Neighbor) on: Feb 08, 2025
