Celebrating the Life and Legacy
Ashley (Ash) Owen Swereda passed away on February 15, 2025, at the age of 48.
His passing was unexpected, and our family is devastated by this immense loss. Ash was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and beloved son—a man of great kindness, integrity, and love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Ash grew up on a family farm south of Rossburn, where he farmed alongside his dad. He had deep love for the outdoors, enjoyed activities like snowmobiling, camping and fishing. Throughout his life, he remained active in sports, both during and after his time at Rossburn High School. After receiving his business management course from Assiniboine Community College in Brandon, MB he worked shortly in the oil and gas industry, became a successful insurance salesman, and later advanced his career as a land agent with Synergy land services until his passing.
Above all, Ash cherished his family. He dedicated himself to guiding his children, instilling in them the values and life skills necessary for independence and success.
Ash will always be remembered with love by his parents, Murray Swereda and Sylvia Swereda (Melnyk); his wife, Kelly Swereda (Morrison); his children, John and Anika and stepchildren Carter, Kayla and Morgan; his sister, Amber Dziver (Swereda); brother-in-law, Steve Dziver and nephews, Noah and Luke Dziver; He also leaves behind many grieving aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.
