Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARYLOU AMOS
It is with heavy hearts to announce the passing of MaryLou Amos on February 1, 2025 after a brave and dignified battle with cancer. She left this world with family by her side at St. Boniface Hospital.
Left to cherish her memory is Denis Amos (husband), David Amos (son), Fiona Weber/Amos (daughter) and husband Don Weber, granddaughters, Emma and Ava, Kenny Bell (brother) and extended family and friends. Marylou was predeceased by her parents, David and Louise Bell (Wardman), John Bell (brother), Lois Coyle/Bell (sister) and Wesley Coyle (nephew). We are joyful knowing they were all there for her when she arrived in heaven.
Marylou was born in Rainy River, Ontario and raised her family in Winnipeg. She worked as a civil servant with the Residential Tenancies Branch for 19 years. Marylou was a loving mother, grandmother "Grandma Silly Willy" and friend. She was soft spoken, thoughtful, kind and lived gracefully. She enjoyed gardening and planting flowers, playing the piano, needlepoint and tai chi. She enjoyed drinking tea with others, sharing her delicious pastry and butter tarts. We will carry on your legacy by enjoying your favourite things.
The family wishes to give heartfelt thanks to those who loved and supported her over the years, especially during her time of illness.
Honouring her wishes, she will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Sending love and hugs to David, Fiona, Ava, and Emma. I am so very sorry for the loss of your beautiful mom and grandma, I will forever cherish my memories of family gatherings at MaryLou’s home be it Christmas, Thanksgiving, or summer BBQs. Her food was absolutely delicious, and amidst the busyness of hosting she would always carve out time to catch-up with my little sister and I. We loved sitting in the kitchen watching her cook and enjoyed when she would show us how to play the piano or how she cared for her garden. If it were possible to relive special moments in our lives, a family dinner at MaryLou’s would be at the top of my list. I hope MaryLou, Dad, and Grandma Coyle are all enjoying good conversation and jokes at the dinner table in heaven ❤️. With love, Melissa, Ryan, and Mav. - Posted by: Melissa Suchit (Coyle) (grand-niece) on: Feb 28, 2025

Mary Lou was my kind and gentle Aunt since as long I can remember. I will always remember her for taking time with me to show me how to sew, bake and needlepoint. She enjoyed doing the simple things in life such as planting her flower gardens in the backyard when spring arrived; it was her therapy. Whenever she had guests visit she would make a nice cup of tea with some of her homemade tarts or cookies. She loved Fiona, David, Don (her son-in-law) and her two beautiful granddaughters (Emma and Ava) who brought her so much joy in her later years. She had a very difficult time these past several years and I truly believe that she is in a better place with those who have gone before her. - Posted by: Peggy Seaver (Neice) on: Feb 22, 2025

My deepest condolences to the Amos family. Your mom/Grandma was a quiet, sweet lady. Marylou is now with my parents Marion & Arnold Henry probably sipping on tea. I used to run into Marylou at Safeway the odd time and catch up on the news in our families, but I had lost touch with her over the years. Rest peacefully Marylou.
