MARGARET (ELAINE) KRAMBLE

It is with sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our mom, Margaret "Elaine" Kramble at the age of 84 years, at her residence in Concordia Village. Last January 2024, Elaine was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Bryan Kramble and was never able to fully live her life without him. We are forever grateful that they can be together again.

Elaine is survived by her four children-Arlene (Kurtiss), Brad (Tracy), Heather (Mike) and Blaine. Grandchildren- Kairstyn (Spencer), Adam (Claire), Mike (Jen), Kimberley (Kris), Elisabeth, Carolyn, Bryson and Brock and great-grandchildren Wylder, Wyatt, Austin, Mason, Jack and Logan. Elaine is also survived by her brother Bob Thomson and her nieces and nephews (Jamie, Billy, April, Billy Jr, Maverick, Bennett, Lori, Ken and Brent).

Elaine was born on October 12,1940 in Portage La Prairie to her parents Constance and Robert Thomson. Elaine left Portage at 16 and headed to the big city of Winnipeg. Elaine worked briefly for the Manitoba Telephone Systems. Elaine met the love of her life Bryan, on a Grey Cup train, and they married in September 1962. Mom had the four Kramble kids in six years and loved her role as a stay at a home mom. Our friends were always welcome in our Transcona home and pool. Mom ran a tight ship, always having a spotless home, clothes on the line, and supper at 5:00 p.m., with everyone welcome and lots to eat. She loved to cook, bake and entertain and managed to quarterback a very busy, involved and social family.

Elaine and Bryan did everything together. Where you saw one, you saw the other. They were snowbirds that enjoyed part of 30 winters in Arizona and Texas. They also enjoyed visiting Hawaii, the Caribbean, Alaska and their cottage at Lee River.

Mom was very fortunate to have incredibly special lifelong friends (Lorraine, Mary, Eleanor, DoDo, and family Barry and Diane). As her world got smaller, she spent countless time talking on the phone to them and enjoyed visits at her assisted living apartment. The family would like to thank the staff at Concordia Village for ensuring a safe and connected community for our mom.

At mom's request, there will be no service.

Rest in Peace mom, you will be missed and forever loved.

  • We were so shocked and saddened to hear of Elaine's passing. We wish to extend our deepest condolences and prayers to the family at this difficult time. Elaine always opened her house to family and friends and was such a gracious host and made sure you never left hungry. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten. • I will fondly remember Mrs. K as the next best mom to have, partner in crime, and always supportive towards Robb, Robbie, Lorrain and myself. My children did not have grandparents but Mr. & Mrs. K were seen as Grandpa and Grandma Kramble to them - in a most loving way that I cannot express enough gratitude for this. She worked hard in ensuring that her family had food on the table, clean clothing to wear ( to list a few) and was always so supportive of the Kramble Kid's endeavours and adventures. My 'Do you want to buy some chickens, lady' phone calls will be sorely missed... Elaine...we love you and will miss you...Forever your friends, The Hogg's - Posted by: Heather Hogg (Close friend to the family) on: Mar 12, 2025

  • Our sincere condolences to the Kramble family, so sorry for your loss. Brian & Elaine were the most kind, gracious couple. Bruce & I enjoyed visiting with them at Country Villas. Elaine always had the coffee on & a cookie or two to go with the coffee. They will both be missed. Bruce & Donna Honey - Posted by: Donna & Bruce Honey (Friend) on: Mar 03, 2025

  • Arlene, Heather & Families, My Sincerest condolences to all of you. My fond memory of your parents was when we would "call on you" to walk to Westview. Your Mom fit us all into the back landing, Chief Kramble at the kitchen table & like most homes, CJOB on the radio. Heather later would attend "Kindergarten" with my sister, where I was blessed to be a helper. God Bless you & your families. RIHP, Chief & Mrs Kramble. - Posted by: Kym Loschiavo (Classmate) on: Mar 02, 2025
