Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET RUTH INGEBRIGTSON
With sadness, we announce the passing of Margaret R. Ingebrigtson after a short illness.
Born in The Pas, MB on January 1, 1950, Margaret, with her parents, moved to Churchill, MB at the age of one year. She, along with her brothers and sisters, George, Kathleen, Roland and Marion, were raised in Churchill and Fort Churchill. Margaret attended school at the Duke of Edinburgh School in Fort Churchill, and following graduation, attended the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, earning her Bachelor of Arts degree and teaching certificate. She returned to Churchill and taught K through 12 until her retirement in 2004. She will doubtless be remembered fondly by her former students as either Miss Langlois or Mrs. Ingebrigtson.
Following her retirement, after a short stay in Winnipeg, she and her husband Peter moved to Oliver, BC, to enjoy the warmer climate. Predeceased by her husband Peter in 2005, Margaret spent time attending to her aging parents, volunteered with the Desert Valley Hospice Society, and assisted where possible with her many nieces, nephews and “GREATS”.
Generous to a fault, she will surely be remembered by her many friends and relatives as the caring, concerned person that she was.
Cremation has taken place, and interment will follow at a later date. No service is planned. Rest in peace, Margaret, knowing that you were loved.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret’s remembrance may be made to the Desert Valley Hospice Society or a charity of your choosing.

Sad to hear of Margaret's passing...we both taught in downtown Churchill and loved the job! Margaret was always one to rally the troops; either children or adults to enjoy life. Her sense of humor and witty remarks kept moral up. A more loving person you could not find. Your presence will be missed. Comfort to your family and loved ones. I am devastated to hear of your loss. I knew Margaret since Elementary school in Churchill. She came to Dauphin twice and we had a delightful reunion lunch each time. I adored her humor and made her play "Two guitars and a glass of wine" on the piano each time we spoke on the phone. It was our song. The world has lost a special soul. My condolences to all the family. - Posted by: Donna Scibak (friend) on: Mar 08, 2025
