BERYL EDITH SMITH

(nee WILLIAMSON)

Peacefully after a brief battle with cancer Mum passed away on March 8, 2025 in her 91st year.

She was predeceased by her husband Jim, daughter Karen, father J.C. (Kelly) and mother Irene Williamson.

She is survived by her daughter Colleen Smith (Ron Almdal); son Norman Smith; son Lorne Smith; daughter Diane Kilcollins (Peter); daughter Sherril Smith; granddaughters Kendal (Richard), Crystal (Nick), Kaitlin (Scott); great-grandchildren Sadie and Tobias; brother Alan (Marianne) and their family.

Mum was a very giving mother who loved family and friends. She devoted her life to her husband Jim, raising their six children and caring for Karen’s health and well-being throughout her life.

We thank the nurses at the Victoria Hospital for their care and to Dr. Penner for his impeccable bedside manner when he informed Mum of her diagnosis. We also want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Blom and the staff at Riverview 2 West for their incredible care and compassion throughout this very difficult time. In addition we thank Rick at Interlake Cremation & Memorial Service for his outstanding service.

As per Mum’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be a private family interment at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba or a charity of your choice.

Mum…..your love and kindness was immeasurable. We are forever grateful.

There is a link death cannot sever, love and remembrance last forever.
