With deep sorrow, the Ehmann family announces the passing of Emil on March 9, 2025, at the GRAND age of 90. Affectionately known as YOGI, Emil passed away at St. Boniface Hospital after a courageous battle with numerous health issues.
Emil was predeceased by his parents, sisters and brothers. He leaves to mourn numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Emil was born in Poland to German parents. At an early age he worked in Europe taking care of his family. He came to Canada in the 1950s where he lived and worked in rural Manitoba as a farmer and in construction, until he started a great career at Manitoba Rolling Mills, working for 40 years. He fell in love with Anne Beckmann and created a loving home in North End, Winnipeg. He retired early and travelled the world with Anne until she passed. He then chose to live at River Ridge Retirement complex and then Maples Nursing Home.
Cremation has taken place. Emil will be interred at Glen Eden Cemetery, West St. Paul in April/May.
