Jean Watson (Laing) Evans went to be with the Lord on April 6, 2025, at the age of 92 years.
Remembered and sadly missed by her loving husband, Michael Harry Evans; her children, Michael David Evans (Kathy) of Winnipeg, MB, and Lisa Anne (Evans) Plocktis (Paul) of West Kelowna, BC; as well as 7 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
Sadly, predeceased by her brother, David Watson Laing and his wife, Sheila; and parents, Sarah (Roberts) Laing and David Watson Laing.
Jean had a compassionate heart and was well known for her infectious laugh. She loved her family, travelling to those in England and Winnipeg, and she thrived on spending time with her kids, grandkids, and great-grandchildren. Jean enjoyed reliving her visits, always with humour and would light up in their presence.
Jean was excellent at crosswords and was a popular bridge partner. She loved knitting for her family, and every Christmas present included her handywork. Jean loved to travel to warmer climates to enjoy the sun and local culture.
Her family will miss her humour, strength, compassion, and lively conversation.
