Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Dorothy was more than just an Aunt to me, she was my favorite and loved Aunt. She was also a mentor to me over the years. Distance was not a deterrent to communicate, she would call when she felt like it and offered me her love and advice for more than 40 years. I am not afraid to say, I don't like the way of communication in this era, we have receded with texting...it just does not allow us to hear the emotions or true feelings of the people we Love. To give you an example of what I mean, Dorothy use to phone on my birthdays and set her hand phone down by the piano and sing & play happy birthday. I am sure that I am not the only one that received this heart touching experience. God's word says, we will live three score and ten, and by his grace, More. Dorothy exceeded that and lived more than most, because of her Loving BIG Heart. Sincerely Ron. - Posted by: Ronald Malcolm Campbell (Dorothy was my Aunt) on: Apr 27, 2025

  • I worked with Max at Manitoba Police Commission. Dorothy attended many events. She was always warm and gracious. Always enjoyed talking with her. Sorry for your loss. Brian Phillips - Posted by: Brian (Phillips) on: Apr 26, 2025

  • Rest in peace Dorothy, you were a grand lady with a heart of gold, a great sense of humor and a wealth of knowledge and joy of life. Although we haven't seen each other in a long while, I remember our visits as they were a highlight of my work day. My sincere condolences to Dorothy's family, I know you will miss her. I was lucky enough to be gifted two of her paintings and will remember her smile every time I look at them. - Posted by: Wendy Olson (Former advisor- Assiniboine CU. Friend) on: Apr 26, 2025
