COLIN LEE JAGAN CURLE

July 18, 1972 - April 11, 2025

It is with great pathos and melancholy that Dennis and Linda Curle, parents of Colin Curle, do sorrowfully announce his untimely and sudden death on April 11, 2025.

Colin was born in Winnipeg and grew up in St. Vital. He attended Darwin School. His next endeavour was to attend Dakota Collegiate, continued to the University of Manitoba (agriculture) and onto Red River where he studied Mechanical Engineering. Colin had an insatiable appetite for studies of Ancient History and classical music. He studied piano, accordian and the bag pipes with varying degrees of success.

Colin is survived by his immediate family, father Dennis, mother Linda, sister Denys and his nephew Charlie. Colin will be profoundly missed by the "Curle" family and the "Chattergoon" family. Colin will also be missed by his friends, Robert, Donny, Dean and Kristy. In addition Colin had many rural friends in the Justice and surrounding farming community.

Colin had a love for the beautiful Minnedosa area had many friends there. Colin's main love was for the farm at Justice. It was Aikenside farm that and his father engaged as partners, comrades and friends. It is at Aikenside farm that Colin's spirt will reside. The day is done, and darkness falls from the wings of night, as a feather is wafted down and from an eagle in his flight.

A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Norbert Arts Centre, 100 rue de Ruines du Monastere from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 10. A second celebration will be held in the Justice community in June.

  • Dear Dennis, Linda, Denys and Charlie, I’m so sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of my cousin Dennis and wife Linda, and their 2 adorable little kids. Years later we attended a family wedding and there was Colin - all grown up! A lovely young man - who spun me around the dance floor, wearing a kilt- king of the dance floor at the reception. I’m so grateful to have that memory. Lots of love, cousin Lisa in Texas. - Posted by: Lisa Clark Guedry (2nd cousin) on: May 09, 2025

  • Dear Aunt Linda, Uncle Dennis, Denys and Charlie, I’m so deeply sorry for your loss. Colin was such a big part of my childhood—our adventures at Wallace Lake, building forts, playing on the dock, panning for gold, and racing to Hamilton Lake and back are memories I’ll always hold close to my heart.
