It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Doris Lorraine Martin on May 2, 2025, at the age of 89 years at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Stewart; daughter Julie Halcro; sons Ron and Larry Halcro; grandsons Richard, Jimmy, Dale and Caleb; and great-grandchildren Emily and Hunter.
In accordance with Doris’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and no formal service will be held.

I always loved coming out to visit with my grandma every summer from BC and stay with her, she spoiled me as a little boy.. not just with gifts and toys but with absolute and unending love. You were always there to listen, without judgement even as I got older and stepped off my life’s path you were always there. The laughs and jokes we shared throughout the years will always stay in my heart and memories. It hurts knowing that I won’t be able to introduce you to your three great grand daughters and my wife but know they are in good hands, because you had a big hand in raising me into the man I am today. We are so sorry to hear of Doris’ passing. She was a great neighbour for the 17 years we lived next door. I will always remember her for her love of animals and her dry sense of humour, that when used caused a little smirk to come to her face. She has been through a lot, and now she is at peace.
