MONIQUE THERESE HEBERT

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Monique Thérèse Hébert (née Kamphaus and adopted Côté). She was 84 years old. Monique left us in the early hours of Easter Monday, April 21, 2025. Our family is greatly saddened by her departure and yet, feel consoled in knowing that our Monique, our mother, grandma, sister, aunty, friend is no longer suffering, freed from the pain and constant suffering she endured for much too long.

Monique is survived by her two children, Jean-Marc Hébert and Janique Hébert (Todd Mondor) in whom her memory will remain forever engraved in their hearts; she will also be cherished with love forever by her two grandchildren, Yoann Ousset and Claudia Ousset (Ben Nuttall). She will also be fondly remembered by her brother William Feneshen, and her half brothers and sister, Michael O’Brien of Kitimat, Ken O’Brien (Shelley) of Williams Lake and their two sons, Liam and Reiley, Patrick O’Brien of Vancouver, and Mary (Ian) of Surrey. Monique’s ex-husband Jean-Louis Hébert, and his life companion Micheline St. Pierre, offer their deepest condolences.

There will be a last farewell and opportunity to pay tribute to Monique at a memorial service which will take place at the St. Boniface Cathedral on Thursday, June 26 at 11:00 a.m.

A special thank you goes out to all the staff, the health care workers, the nurses and doctors, of the Actionmarguerite St-Vital Personal Care Home who looked after Monique. You were like family to her. Your countless heartfelt gestures and professionalism were noticed but also went unseen during the height of COVID. You provided exceptional care behind the scenes in your daily interactions with Monique, using sensitivity, compassion, and also humour. You are greatly appreciated.

Bon repos, Monique. Hélène Mc. - Posted by: Helene McCarthy (Amie) on: May 17, 2025
