With his family by his side, Vern Overby peacefully passed away on May 8, 2025.
He was born February 29, 1940, in Pine River, MB - where he lived the majority of his life. He was predeceased by his parents, Carl and Antoinette Overby and siblings, Myrtle, Eleanor, Melvin and Lawrence.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Rose and daughters, Tara (Cooper) and Andrea (Sunny), and grandchildren, Dale and Daniel Burnell. Vern will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. He touched the lives of many.
He had a great sense of humour and zest for life. His strength and dedication to family, work, health and happiness shone through in everything he did, in every role or position he held.
As per Vern’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

Uncle Vernie was easily one of my favourite relatives. He had a beautiful voice. Watched over my brother and myself wth loving care. He was very witty and extremely comical. From Lealey and Rob to Rose and family. We offer our condolences. I manage the apartment where Rose and Vern called home for the past 3 years. I will miss the daily interactions with Vern his chipper smile, sense of humor and even the simple "good morning Robert" on his way out every day.
