JEFF MEEK

On May 1, 2025, with faith in his heart, Jeff passed away to join his loved ones who have gone before him including his much loved mother Diane, a loss that he always carried.

Left to mourn Jeff's passing is his father Joe; sister Stacey (Vic); nephew Hudson; aunts, Cindy (Leo), Linda (Dick); daughters, Jessica (Steven) and Sydney (Seth); granddaughter Everly; cousins and friends.

Jeff spent his early childhood growing up in Arborg, Manitoba. Years there were spent riding horses, playing in the yard and raising a pet deer he named Bimbo that lived in the house.

His parents moved to Charleswood where Jeff attended Dieppe Elementary. From there he attended Sanford High School.

Jeff enjoyed anything fast; cars, boats, snowmobiles, rides and motorcycles. He always had to have the best lawn mower and snow blower; and he loved his tools. He enjoyed weightlifting, being on top of current events and always knew the upcoming weather.

He was an avid sports fan. He particularly loved the Winnipeg Jets, Winnipeg Blue Bombers and NASCAR racing. He enjoyed day trips to the States, weekends at Falcon Lake, trips to Florida and family dinner on Sunday in Domain, MB, or at home in Winnipeg.

Always someone interested in fixing and building, it was no surprise that he made a career for himself at Kitchen Craft/Master Craft Canada building cabinets.

Jeff loved to drive with his music loud and his hat on backwards. He was a kid at heart. He loved the feeling of the warm sun on his face and a Jeanne's cake for his birthday.

He took pride in his vehicles and made many trips to the Chamois. He loved holiday traditions like Auntie Cindy's homemade eggnog and making sure that his daughters had a stocking filled full every Christmas with an orange in the toe.

He was so proud when he recently became a grandfather to Everly. Now he will be her special guardian angel watching over her.

Jeff was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when he was only 18 months old. He was a fighter and determined not to let the disease define him. The last four years were a struggle with his health issues, and no one faced each day braver or stronger than Jeff. We are in awe of his resilience.

Jeff was loved and will be incredibly missed. He had a good sense of humour and a gentle spirit. We will miss his smile.

A celebration of Jeff's life will be held at a later date.
