We never asked for miracles,
But today just one would do,
To see the door push open
And see you walking through.
If we could have one lifetime wish,
One dream that would come true,
We would wish with all our hearts,
For yesterday and you.
Things we feel most deeply,
Are the hardest things to say,
For we, your family, love you Vince,
In a very special way.
What you suffered you told but few,
You never deserved
What you went through.
No one knows the sorrow we share
When the family meets
And you’re not there.
Our hearts still ache with sadness,
And silent tears still flow,
But you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
Loved and missed beyond words.
Always remembered.
