IRENE EMILIE TILLETT

(KNOCKAERT)

Surrounded by family, Irene Emilie Tillett (Knockaert), passed on May 16, 2025, age 79.

She leaves to mourn her son Grant (Myra); grandsons, Leslie (Adrienne) and Thane; great-grandchildren, Katherine, Trevor and Harrison; brothers, Wally and Brian; and nieces, nephews, and friends. Irene was predeceased by her husband Les; son Trevor; sister Marge; and sister-in-law Donna.

Irene grew up in St. Boniface and loved to tell stories about the old neighbourhood. She married the love of her life and started a family. Irene lost her husband early in life, so she raised her two sons by herself. She was a soft spoken, kind, and caring person throughout her life. She loved to watch cooking shows and Coronation Street, but family was what mattered most. She was so proud of her sons’ and grandsons' accomplishments and was always happy when family came to visit.

Irene struggled with health concerns and often could not do many of the activities that everyone takes for granted. In honour of Irene, please make the most of each day and treasure the opportunities you have, big or small.

We thank her homecare and Riverview teams who helped her through her journey. We thank all the family and friends who called and visited, it brightened her day.

At Irene’s request, the family will have a private interment.

Donations can be made at a charity of your choice.
