SCOTT NEWSOM
May 29, 1993 - March 6, 2013
Scott loved this Bible verse: "And now, dear brothers and sisters. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honourable, and right, and pure and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise." Philippians 4:8.
In response to this, he wrote in 2012: "What is beautiful? Sunsets across lakes. Views from mountains. Clear mornings. Mountains through clouds. Sheet lightning on pitch-black nights. Fresh snow. Blankets of stars, too many to count. Broken hearts made new. The hugs of people you know will love you, no matter what. Kids playing with awesome innocence. People holding hands for the first time and the last time. Moments when words are inadequate and unnecessary. When you know you can make a fool of yourself and no one will care. When people pray for you because they want to. People singing together. Complete and total forgiveness. Sacrificial love. When it turns out that things aren't so awkward after all."
Scott, we who know you
love you and miss you.
Mum, Dad, Paul, Dave, Judith, Cora, Edmund and MarieĀ
look forward to your hugs in Heaven.
