Born in Lundar, Manitoba on August 11, 1935. Hugh passed unexpectedly on April 28, 2025, in his 89th year. Survived by his loving sister Hazel, brother-in-law Alex (Nicol), niece Chris (Lee), nephew Grant (Jeanine). Predeceased by his wife Val, sister Lorraine, and brother Cliff.
In his younger years, he participated in curling with the Brooklands Curling Club. He was also a great fan of baseball and hockey. Hugh always looked forward to his Friday afternoons with friends at McPhillips Street Station.
Cremation has taken place. A private service will be held in Lundar at a later date.
