Condolences & Memories (10 entries)

  • I meant Jeanie through Pilates. She shared that she loved pilates and was very loyal to attending even during her illness. When she was first diagnosed, we discussed visited at her house in Stony Mtn and discussed her journey and she told it with no regrets or anger. She was enjoying her life and her family. She had a lot of lovely trips. We have missed her. - Posted by: Lorna Pankratz (friend) on: Jun 25, 2025

  • Our condolences to the family. She was a great neighbor. Would always chat with us when we were over at our daughter's house next door. She definitely had a green thumb and enjoyed her many flowers and garden. She will be missed. Sincerely, Greg & Darlene Hanischuk - Posted by: Greg, Darlene Hanischuk (Neighbor) on: Jun 09, 2025

  • Jeanie was the first person I met in Stony Mountain. She was a great neighbour and friend for 40 years. So very many memories spent over the years watching our kids grow up, always an open door for my girls. Jeanie was always a cheerful and willing volunteer. Working together as volunteers with the skating club. Spending hours during competition weekend in the cold rink guiding and encouraging little figure skaters. Jeanie, you will always be remembered and will be missed. Rest in peace after your long brave and dignified fight. Our heartfelt condolences to Bob, Chantel, Lee and your families. đź’” Pam, Tracy and Crystal - Posted by: Pam Williams (Friend and Neighbour) on: Jun 08, 2025

  • My deepest condolences to the family. Jeanie was the best friend and neighbor anyone could have. I’ve known her for 39+ years, our kids grew up together, we’ve shared many family and holiday occasions and have always been there for one another through thick and thin. I’ll miss having tea with Jeanie and her advice on flowers and gardening. We’ll miss her at our girls nights and I’ll miss her popping over with a bag of tomatoes and cucumbers every fall as she was always so proud of her garden. I will miss you immensely Jeanie! You were a one of a kind true friend. Beautiful lady inside and out. You will be missed by so many. I’m thankful for the great memories over the years. You will not be forgotten but will be forever in our hearts. Rest in peace my dear friend. ❤️. • I was saddened to read of Jeanie’s passing over the weekend. My sincere condolences to all of Jeanie’s family during this difficult time. I worked closely with Jeanie for several years at Manitoba Education, particularly on the provincial exams and she was an absolute joy to work with. I relied on her a lot to help get things done and I never had to worry that things would fall apart. She was a cherished and trusted co-worker, who was very much liked and admired by her colleagues. Although we hadn’t been in contact since she retired, I am saddened that we won’t ever have that chance again. May the memories of happier times help carry you through in the days ahead. - Posted by: Kim Browning (Former Co-worker) on: Jun 01, 2025

  • I am deeply sorry to hear of Jeanie's passing. I worked with Jeanie and appreciated the time she spent training me for the different areas I worked in. I enjoyed getting together for coffee breaks. At times walking around outside to get fresh air and exercise while talking about her trips, talking about our gardens and talking about the upcoming visits with her family.
