Michelle and I worked together only briefly at Manitoba Hydro, connecting more as moms than co-workers. I remember her bringing baby Emerson to the office while I was pregnant with my youngest son and emailing back and forth over our mat leaves. We never did get around to that play date we talked about, but I appreciated her support as we both tried to navigate the difficult work-life balance. Sending so much love to her family, friends and co-workers. Michelle made an impact on me and I was so very sad to hear the news of her passing. - Posted by: Trina Boyko (Former co-worker) on: Jun 12, 2025

Michelle was a great friend growing up as neighbors and classmates. Michelle and her family were always welcoming with open arms and big smiles. Even though Michelle has a large family there was always room at the table for me to stay for dinner. As we got older we had different interests and grew apart; I wish we could have reconnected as adults as I know you would have been an amazing friend. My condolences to Michelle's family. - Posted by: Robin Chambers (Childhood friend) on: Jun 11, 2025

Only knew you a short time, Michelle, but never saw you without that smile that said "life is grand". You fought the good fight, lass. Very proud of your determination to "live" while you lived. Indescribable heartfelt sorrow and love for you David, Ellie & Emerson. See you soon. Auntie-Cousin Kathryn - Posted by: Kathryn Harper (Second-Cousin to David) on: Jun 06, 2025

Michelle was a constant presence in my life for many years while we worked together in Public Affairs at Manitoba Hydro. Back then we shared a lot of responsibilities and while some days were better than others, her positivity and determination never ceased to amaze me; they probably always will. Michelle’s wacky sense of humour was a mixed blessing though, particularly her annual April Fools’ antics. I still panic for a moment every April 1 thinking she’s played a joke on me. But the memories of Michelle plotting pranks and laughing over them make me smile. She knew not to take life too seriously - one of her many qualities. I will miss you greatly, Michelle. Go in peace. My condolences to David, Ellie, Emerson and Michelle’s family. - Posted by: Krystyl Harland (Former co-worker) on: Jun 04, 2025
