THOMAS KENJI HIROSE

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Kenji Hirose (Tobe/Uncle Zero) on June 9th, 2025, at the Ottawa General Hospital at the age of 70 years.

He will be greatly missed by his 3 brothers, Gerry (Janet), Randy (Lesley) and Ken, his many nephews and nieces as well as his great-nephews and nieces.

Tobe was born in Winnipeg but lived most of his adult life in Ottawa. During this time, he was part of a close family trio which included his cousin Stanley Hirose and Stan's wife Bette Meek. Thomas was predeceased by his father and mother, Harold and Florence Hirose.

All of his family, including Stan's brother Geoff and his children, are thankful for the privilege of being able to visit with him in Ottawa during his courageous battle with cancer.

As per his wishes, no formal service will be held. A private Celebration of Life will be held in Winnipeg at a later date.
