WALTER JAMES JAROWEC

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Walter (Wally) Jarowec who left us on June 12, 2025, at the age of 88. Wally was born on December 30, 1936.

Wally was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He will also be remembered as “Sawa” by his Isaac Newton high school basketball friends.

He worked as an office manager at Canada Packers, Sundale Eggs, and Burnbrae Farms, where he was admired not only for his professionalism and work ethic but also for his ever-present smile and friendly demeanor. His approachable nature and positive attitude made him a joy to work with and a steady presence in the workplace.

Outside of work, Wally found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He had a deep love for music and cherished his collection of old 78 records. He took great pride in his cars, enjoyed curling, and was often seen puttering around in his yard. Wally also had a special place in his heart for dogs, whose companionship brought him great comfort and happiness throughout his life.

Wally is survived by his wife of 51 years, Beverley; his two children, Karlene (Ryan) and Kyle (Sarah); his three grandchildren, Parker, Paige, and Sadie; and his two brothers, Tony (Mary) and Kenny (Ingrid). His memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Bev, Nancy and I are so sorry to hear of Wally's passing. When I saw the notice I immediately thought back to the CP Poultry days. Wally was a great guy to work with or spend time with at work functions whether here or away somewhere at a conference. I particularly remember one such affair in Edmonton at the West Edmonton mall where the whole group, Jack, Dan, Mona and I even think Harry and Roy Miske stopped by while we sat at one of the mall restaurants, drinking whatever and eating plenty of oysters on the half shell...all afternoon. Good times. Again, our condolences to you and your family on Wally's passing. Charlie - Posted by: Charlie Dagg (Friend) on: Jun 28, 2025
