Date of Passing: Jun 25, 2025
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERALD (GERRY) O’LEARY NAPOLEON JOSEPH CADORATH
With deep love and heavy hearts, we share the passing of Gerald (Gerry) O’Leary Napoleon Joseph Cadorath, who left us on June 25, 2025, at the age of 63 after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. He passed peacefully at home, surrounded by his beloved wife, his children, and his sister Bonnie - held in the love of the family he so deeply cherished.
Gerry was predeceased by his mother Blanche (nee Hebert), father Gerald, sister Germaine, and niece Bonnie-Lee
Gerry was many things - a devoted husband, a proud father and grandfather, a brother, uncle, and friend - but above all, he was a builder. He built a family, a legacy, a business, and a life rooted in purpose and passion. He leaves behind his beloved wife Mollie, his five children Brandy, Nicole (Adam), Tyler, Cory (Jenna), and Cole, and his nine grandchildren Angelina, Geno, Caterina, Kowen, Paisley, Patrick, Oliver, Lily, and Christopher, who were the joy of his life. He is also survived by his sister Bonnie (Ed), as well as many nieces, nephews, and countless extended family and friends.
He also leaves behind his loyal dog Blu and his beloved cat Thomas - his everyday sidekicks who filled his home with warmth, mischief, and unconditional love.
An entrepreneur at heart, Gerry was a visionary leader and author whose work and words inspired others to pursue greatness. He was a licensed pilot who felt most free in the sky, a home renovation enthusiast who always had a new project on the go, and a man who never settled for “good enough.” He had a deep appreciation for travel, fine food, good wine, and craftsmanship in all forms. His taste was impeccable, and his generosity even greater - he wanted the best for everyone around him and worked tirelessly to make that possible.
Gerry’s love for his wife was constant and profound. She was his greatest treasure and his truest companion through every chapter of his life.
One of Gerry’s lasting messages to those around him was to “Turn Can’t Into Next.” This wasn’t just a phrase - it was the way he lived: forward-looking, resilient, and full of belief in what’s possible. Though taken from us too soon, Gerry’s strength, sharp wit, high standards, and unwavering commitment to family and excellence will live on in all who knew him. His legacy is woven into the lives he touched, the business he built, and the family he so fiercely loved.
A Celebration of Life will take place on July 10, 2025, at the Hilton Hotel, 1800 Wellington Avenue from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Gerry by living boldly, giving generously, and always aiming higher and turning can’t into next - just as he did.

Gerry, you were such a special person. For 34 years, we shared more than just work—we shared a true friendship that meant the world to me. I looked forward to Tuesdays and Thursdays because Blu—your best buddy—came in with you, and on those days, he was mine too. He brought joy to everyone at the office; the entire shop Blu had his routine just like you did also big and bold like you. Whenever you and Mollie went away, it was an honor to watch over Blu he became a part of our family. You and Mollie were a team in every sense—a beautiful, steady presence. Your love for her was unwavering, and so was your love for your family. And the truth is, your family became our family too. We celebrated together, supported one another, and shared in the moments that made life meaningful. You and Mollie shared a true love and partnership that inspired everyone who knew you both. The bond you shared with Mollie was something truly beautiful—your love for her was always shining through. You led with heart and gave even more in return. You taught me how to keep moving forward, even when it’s hard. “Turn Can’t Into Next”—that was you, through and through. You will be deeply missed and always remembered with love and respect. Gerry was a good Employer, when my daughter was hospitalized Gerry gave me time off to be at her bedside. When he would walk through the shop floor he always stop to talk to me, it was nice that he was approachable, I will remember those conversations. He left us to soon. I had the honour and privilege of booking Gerry's travel for many years. To say he loved adventure is the understatement of a lifetime. The man was a travel company's dream. Always open to new ideas and adventures, and ready and willing to bring his wonderful family along. I'd often find myself a little jealous of all the fun he had globe trotting. When he started flying himself around, I admired him even more. He was always on the fly, on the move, and on the go. He was so fun to watch in motion. I will miss him so much. My sympathies to Mollie, Brandy, Cory and families as well as the Cadorath Group and travelers. My heart is with all of you. Gone too soon. - Posted by: Kim Renouf (friend/business associate) on: Jul 07, 2025
