GERMAINE ELIZABETH WALL

Peacefully, with family by her side Germain Elizabeth Wall passed away on July 5, 2025.

Missing her smile here on earth are her sons Darrel and Mike (Teresa), nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, sisters Margaret and Irene and numerous nieces and nephews.

Germaine worked at Safeway for many years, but her most important job was being a mom to her boys. She enjoyed time and travels with her sisters, family and friends.

Germaine was bowler, wine maker, bingo player, golfer, traveler and baker who is missed so much already.

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Darrel and Mike, I am so sorry to learn about your mom's passing. I sent her an email today to let her know that my father, Garnet, passed away on Saturday. Both my mom and dad held your parents in high regard. My mom says that your family were the best neighbours in Chatham and enjoyed visiting with you in Winnipeg. -Steve Chapman - Posted by: Steve Chapman (Friend) on: Aug 11, 2025

  • I was deeply saddened to hear of Auntie Germaine’s passing. She was a gentle kind and giving woman. The times she and Uncle John visited us here in St. John’s hold very special memories for me. We sent each other Christmas cards for many years with long notes about our families and our own lives. I will hold both she and Uncle John in my heart. ❤️ - Posted by: Bobbi Sidel (Clancy) (Niece) on: Jul 15, 2025

  • Although we never really hang out except for The Safeway girls Christmas Parties, dinner at Margaret Bakers a couple of times a year, I worked with Germ back in the 70’s and early 80’s. She was such a great person to work along side of. I loved her attitude and sense of humour. My nickname for her was Germ and I think it grew on her. She truly was a wonderful lady. Our condolences to her family and friends. RIP Germ Candyce & Don Hawkins - Posted by: Candyce Hawkins (Co-worker & friend) on: Jul 13, 2025
