Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDENNIS GORDON PHILLIPS
With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Dennis Phillips in Saskatoon on July 4, 2025.
He will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and selflessness. His gentle spirit brought comfort to all who knew him, and his playful mischievous nature always kept us smiling. A devoted husband, loving father, and a friend to everyone - Dennis is survived by his beloved partner Rhonda; his children, Brent (Brandy) and Sherry (Michael); stepdaughter Miranda (Tyler); brother Keith (Donna); and his pride and joy - grandchildren, Zev, Brooke, Ivy, and Hazel. He was also loved and will be missed by the family of his late wife June, many nieces, nephews, and friends. We take comfort knowing he is reunited with June, his parents, Gordon and Marion Phillips, and other loved ones that have left us.
Born in Winnipeg, Dennis attended Miles Macdonell Collegiate and enjoyed his career with Monarch Life and North American Life Insurance, forming lifelong friendships. In 1971, Dennis married June Warren. They raised a family, enjoyed camping trips across Canada and the U.S., and he proudly supported his children's hobbies, and coached hockey at Glenlee Community Club. In 1999, June passed away, a loss that was difficult for him. In 2004, Dennis was blessed to meet Rhonda, gaining not only his life partner but also a stepdaughter, Miranda. Over 21 years, Dennis and Rhonda built their dream home in Saskatoon, travelled the country, and enjoyed a happy retirement. They celebrated the births of their grandchildren, who are the apples of Dennis' eye, and doted on their puppy Quincy. Dennis enjoyed curling and golf, but above all, he cherished time with loved ones playing games, watching TV and sports, always cheering for the Habs, Jets, and Bombers. We will miss gathering around the table to play games, share laughs, meals, and stories with him.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. Dennis' life will be celebrated with family and friends on August 23, 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in his memory.
Rest in peace,
sweet Dennis, Dad, Grandpa.

Dennis was the first one to receive his driver's license in our teenage years. He was always on the go, and had endless energy. One of his favorite places to go was A&W for teen burger, fries and root beer. He also loved playing pool at the local pool hall. One time there, 2 regulars tried to hustle us, not realizing we were OK players. They did not like losing, a game in which Dennis made some amazing shots. Dennis was always fun to be around and will be greatly missed. Life took us in different directions after our teenage years but Dennis, by all accounts had a rich and fulfilling life. Lived many years next to Dennis and June on Meadowood Drive in Winnipeg. Watched Brent and Sherry grow up to be responsible adults. They were a loving family and good neighbours. May he rest in peace. Condolences to the family. Connie Carter. - Posted by: Connie Carter (Neighbour) on: Jul 12, 2025
