Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL) FREDERICK HEIMBECKER
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William (Bill) Frederick Heimbecker, who died peacefully at home in Vernon, British Columbia, on July 8, 2025, surrounded by his family at the age of 73.
Bill was a devoted husband, proud father, loving grandfather, brother, uncle and loyal friend. He leaves behind his beloved wife Trish, his children Josh (Lauren), Kaitlyn, Laura (Dylan), his cherished grandchildren Caleb, Mason, Theo, and Romi, along with his brother Philip (Gayadelle) and many nieces and nephews who he adored. He was the heart of a close-knit family who will miss him deeply.
Bill was adventurous at heart - a true explorer who found joy in travel, skiing, boating and hitting the open road in a RV. Whether carving fresh tracks on the slopes, captaining a boat on the water or discovering new places with Trish and the family, he lived life with curiosity and enthusiasm.
He was known for his kindness, generosity, and larger-than-life spirit. Bill could light up any room with his stories, laughter and a classic rum and coke - or a good bottle of red wine. He was the life of the party, but always had time for quiet support and heartfelt conversation.
Bill lived fully and gave freely - to his family, his friends and to anyone lucky enough to cross his path. His memory will live on in the many lives he touched and the countless stories shared around family dinners, on the lake or from behind the bar.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the incredible team of care aides who supported Bill over the past year and a half. Their compassion, dedication and respect brought comfort and dignity in his final chapter and we are deeply grateful for the care they provided.
A private Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held with close family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you raise a glass in Bill’s honour and consider a donation to the Coleen Cunningham Foundation in support of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy research.
As Bill would say -
make it a good, strong one.
