It is with true sadness that I send this message. Brent was a very unique and special person, and having known him since our youth and him being best man at my wedding, I’ve seen him through many stages of life. I know he will be missed by many who loved him, especially his wife. - Posted by: lori tresoor (Friend) on: Jul 30, 2025

My sincere condolences to Sue and the Jonson family. I have known Sue for many years and was there when they first set eyes on each other. Sue and I were leaving Sorrentos and he was coming in with his brother Greg. Brent asked Sue leaving already which we were. With Sorrentos being the local hangout they did officially meet and began their love story. I never felt like a third wheel hanging out with them going on trips to Mexico or just hanging out at their place listening to music which spoke of his character. He made me feel welcome. He will be greatly missed by many. - Posted by: Jan Kahler (Friend) on: Jul 28, 2025

We were saddened to hear of Brent’s passing. We grew up together from our early years at Hastings and Dakota, sharing years of hockey, school, and friendship. He was a true friend - quick with a laugh and even quicker on the track or ice. Though we lost touch over time, the memories remain strong. Our condolences to his family and all who knew him. - Posted by: Janice & Gordon Hudson (Friends) on: Jul 28, 2025

My sincere condolences to the Jonson family, & to Susan, on the loss of your beloved Brent. The stars must have aligned when you both met for sure! Susan & I “met” on FB, & it wasn’t long when Susan, Brent & I met in person for the first time @ Original Joe’s on Grant & Kenaston one warm summer evening for dinner on the patio. We enjoyed many evenings out to see live music, lots of laughs, & great food. Brent will be missed by many, & missed greatly by Susan & his family. Godspeed, Brent… Holly - Posted by: Holly (Friend of both Susan & Brent) on: Jul 26, 2025

Very sorry and surprised to see the notice of Brent’s passing. The Jonson’s and the Single’s grew up side by side on Talon Bay from Grade 1 on. Brent excelled in sports and was always a genuine “ good guy”. We played hockey together and he was always the go-to guy on our team. Condolences to Kim and Mrs Jonson on your loss. Thoughts and prayers are with you. Drew Single - Posted by: Drew (Friend) on: Jul 26, 2025

My sincere condolences to Sue, Isabel, Kim and extended family. Still can't believe you've left us. So many memorable times together I could fill several pages. Playing pool in your basement on Talon Bay, listening to Deep Purple, Nazareth, AC/DC, Foghat….Carpooling to university. Your visits to Toronto and our trip to Montreal. You being my best man and me having the honour to be yours. Sharing our love of rock n roll and seeing so many live bands together. Love you man! Gonna miss you brother. - Posted by: Bruce Mitchell (Friend) on: Jul 26, 2025

I am so sorry to hear of Brent’s passing. I was childhood friends with Brent through his sister Kim and I worked with his Mom. I have not seen him in years, but I remember him as a kind, gentle person with a good sense of humor and a love for music. Please accept my heartfelt condolences to his whole family. - Posted by: Nancy Abrassart ( Hutchinson) (Friend) on: Jul 26, 2025

Very sad news. I have not seen Brent in many years but remember him as a kind soul throughout our years at Hastings and Dakota. We also played sports together at Norberry Community centre. May his memory be a blessing. Tom Trueman (Ottawa). - Posted by: Tom Trueman (Friend) on: Jul 26, 2025
