Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDANIEL WAYNE ANDERSON
Through tears, shock, disbelief and heartache we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Daniel Anderson, aged 53 years.
Dan was born on May 28, 1972, in Ste. Rose du Lac. His family lived in Kinosota before moving to Winnipeg in 1975. He attended school in Transcona until the 1980s when his family moved to a farm in Marquette, Mb.
After graduation at Warren Collegiate, Dan obtained his class 1 driver’s licence and began a career as a long distance truck driver, which took him all over Canada and the USA. Dan was waiting for a pickup call in Ontario for a Winnipeg delivery at the time of his death.
Dan could always be counted on to help when needed. Everything from helping people move, building decks and helping his Dad in the shop at Sprague Auto for six months. Dan may not have said “I love you” often but his actions and his big bear hugs always made his feelings known.
Known as “The Favourite Uncle” he wore this nickname as a badge of honour, often boasting of his nephews and niece of their accomplishments and close relationship to them.
Dan loved hunting, camping and spending time with family and friends. Dan loved to laugh, was always involved in some shenanigans, teasing and practical jokes.
Dan is survived by his Mother Delores (Tim), Father Wayne (Shelley), brother John (Cindy), sisters Andrea (Merrick) and Melissa (Cameron). His nephews James (Jessica), Cory, Damien, Xander and Maddox. His nieces Jodi and Deidre (his DeeDee).
Cremation has taken place as per Dan’s wishes. A Celebration of Life is being planned for a future date.
You have left a void in our hearts and that cannot be filled. A good man gone too soon who loved us deeply and unconditionally and we will carry our memories of you always.
Until we meet again, Rest in Peace.

My name is Anthony but I normally go by Tony. I met Dan when he started at EBD Enterprises pulling super bee flat beds. I was coming from a customer I loaded at in Harrow Ontario when my dispatch called me and asked if I could help a new driver out. He was having problems loading a load in a place called Great Lakes Copper in London Ontario. I said no problem and headed straight there. I introduced myself to Dan and I helped him figure out his load and gave him a little bit of tricks of the trade. When I told him, he stepped back and looked at the situation and was amazed we figured it out. From that day on Dan and I became good friends and we used to run down the road together and if our day finished early, he would set up his old tv on the dash in his truck and we would have a movie night with snacks and beverages. We talked every day unless he had family visiting at his house or he went out to Melissa’s for the weekend and when he got back, he would tell me all about it, He was so proud of all his nephews and nieces and told me lots of stories. We used to meet up and go for supper and breakfast when we weren’t working or I would hang out at his house for the weekend watching Dexter, he showed me his cooking skills once, when he tried cooking chicken but left the thermometer in the chicken in the oven and wondered why it was taking so long to cook, he even turned the oven as high as it can go, I was laughing so hard, We went fishing in my dads boat and knowing Dan was a hunter, I thought he would have a fancy rod but instead we watched him catch a channel cat in the Red River with a fishing rod he bought in a bargain barrel held together with electrical tape, he was a character. I talked to him the day before he passed away and I still can’t believe it. We were friends for like 16 years and he always brought a smile to my face. Dan was a stand up guy and an awesome friend and there are so many memories, I will miss him. Until we meet again my friend, rest in peace - Posted by: Anthony Kerelluke (Friend) on: Sep 08, 2025

Dan and I became friends wen were in grade 9. Joined the Warren fire depo together. Did pretty much everything together. But this one memory always sticks out in my memory. Dan started his trucking career and bought himself a 4x4 old Dodge Ram. We wanted to go try it out. I said "ok lets do it!". Here we are sitting babysitting my new son.(Tryston Patrick Daniel Blais) who was only 2 months old at this time. We're thinking, ok how we going to do this? I said " I got a car seat, you drive, I'll hold his head" he's like "ok sounds good" we almost got stuck. But that dodge proved itself that night. Down to the axles but we didn't get stuck in the mud. And here we are a month later sitting around board again. "So whatcha want to do tonight?" Well Dan says " dad rented some new property for hay. What to go check it out?" Sure I say. And we're off again. Me, Dan and Tryston. Again we got the car seat all strapped in and off we go. We got stuck in the snow for about 2 hours. Both of us took turns shoveling, each taking turns watching my sleeping son. There are so many more stories I can tell you. But we will reminisce again when I get to see my buddy again. - Posted by: Mouse (Best friend for life) on: Sep 06, 2025
